Quob Stables started with proprietor Beth Boyes and one pony back in 1992. The move to Durley in 1998 was to help Quob Stables develop, grow and expand into a successful equestrian centre catering for all standards and ages of rider. We are situated in 50 acres of Hampshire countryside only a short distance from junction 7 on the M27. Subject to an interview and eligibility assessment day here with us at Quob you could be offered an apprenticeship to study a level 2 or 3 horse care diploma.
You will be working 5 days a week. 8-6pm (weekdays) (weekends 7-6pm)
On-site training will be 8 hours a week minimum, which will be a combination of various learning opportunities consisting of;
- Stable management
- Lesson observations
- BHS exam preparations and many more.
And here at Quob we will pay for your BHS exams whilst you are studying the apprenticeship.
These exams are provided dependant on your progress and exam dates but ideally we like you to be aiming to gain your BHS stage 1+2 Complete and your Ride safe in the first year of the apprenticeship.
Subject to approval you will also have an opportunity to compete in our onsite members events throughout your apprenticeship.
Accommodation – On site, only provided to over 18’s. One Single bedroom, with shared bathroom and kitchen area. No accommodation or utility fees are required if you are a registered apprentice here with us.
Hard working, punctual, desire to progress and learn.
Applicants must show prior horse experience and knowledge in their application.
Friendly, Good attitude, team player, desire to achieve BHS exams and teaching qualifications.
Applicants MUST NOT already hold a level 2 or higher in a horse care related qualification.
GCSE's in Maths and English are desired but not essential.
Teaching and competing within the riding school establishment.
