We are a forward thinking yard keen to train horses in an ethical way with positive reinforcement and shaping plans. We offer horse care and riding sessions throughout the week with a focus on the person as a whole as well as riding and horse care skills.

Vacancy Description

Role will include working as part of a small team caring for horses and yard duties. This will include mucking out, feeding, poo picking, tack cleaning, grooming and exercising horses. Supporting clients will also be part of the job thus may be in the form of leading for lessons or working on the yard the clients.

  • We are looking for people with a good work ethic, keen to learn and wishing to work as part of a team
  • All interest must already have experience with horses and understand their needs, but we will provide a full induction and ongoing training
  • Hours may vary as may days but we envisage initially it would be Monday to Friday 8 - 5
  • An interest in coaching and supporting others learning and self development would be great as we are also a pony club centre and do work with children, teens and adults with additional needs

Desired skills

  • Must already have practical experience with horses
  • Good customer service and communication skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of equine husbandry

Desired qualifications

  • GCSE's, or equivalents, in maths and English desired but not essential
  • Applicants must not already hold a level 2/3 in Horse Care
