Apprentices Testimonials

The Animal Care Apprenticeship has improved my confidence, I feel more independent and able to know what I need to do next, I have gained the experience I need and know this is the career I would like to do.

T.R. Suffolk, Level 2 Animal Care Apprenticeship

I have gained confidence and experience of handling/restraining dogs, increased knowledge of dog behaviours and customer service experience.

S.D. Southampton, Level 2 Apprenticeship in Animal Care

I’m better qualified, happier, more confident, more able to cope, more able to get a job, valued, ready to move on and positive about the future.

S.A. Yorkshire, Level 2 Apprenticeship in Animal Care

I am writing to you having recently completed a level 3 NVQ in Customer Services. I received fantastic support from Simon, my tutor, who was always on hand via email whenever I needed help or support with my coursework. During our regular meetings, he would review my work and set out clear goals for me to achieve.

Completing this qualification has helped me during my daily role as a receptionist at the Dogs Trust and given me the tools required to deal with customers more effectively. On a personal note I feel more confident in my role and with my ability to provide quality customer service. It is also very satisfying to know that I had the ability to gain this qualification.

Carol Thomson, Customer Services Course

Hello there I wanted to email you to just say thank you for all the support Keits gave me throughout my animal care course. I had an amazing tutor that was happy to help me no matter how silly my questions where and never made me feel like I was a bother, I always looked forward to our meeting. My tutor was Georgina Nott and she really helped me achieve my goals. She helped me so much when I found out I was pregnant and worried about finishing my course on time and always reassuring me that I could do it and putting me first so thank you so much.

Demi-Leigh Walsh, Animal Care Course

I chose an Apprenticeship as I learn well while working on a job. I have found KEITS very helpful in my training and would definitely recommend over college.

Harry Vincent, Animaltastic

I didn’t get on at college and much prefer being in a workplace and learning. I am learning at my own pace and enjoy being assessed in my workplace.

May Wright, K9 Pet Grooming

I chose to do an Apprenticeship as I don’t really like to be in a classroom environment and I get to have experience at the job instead of just getting the theory behind it. I enjoy going at my own pace and being assessed where I work. It makes it easier as I don’t have to worry about getting to a college anywhere.

Kirsty Southey, St.Lukes School

KEITS is a positive experience, I prefer completing learning in the workplace over going into college.

Amy Wakefield, Four Paws Doggie Daycare

KEITS are a well established service, I very enjoy the one to one sessions, the apprenticeships are the way to go.

Saphire Edgeley, Janet and Jayne’s

I have enjoyed working with Karen from KEITS, she has been very patient with me. KEITS have provided me with my level 3 floristry qualification, I have enjoyed being able to do my training whilst at work.

Amy Bull, Classic Flowers

In my opinion, hands on experience in working environment, where I can physically watch, learn and try new skills works better for me. The placement at my current workplace was found fairly quickly. However when I started working, for about 2 months I felt I was forgotten about, since it took a while to assign me an assessor and even then when I was given a name, this changed and a new assessor was yet again assigned to me. But I can say, eight months down the line everything is going well. Since my apprenticeship is based on working in an office environment, i have gained many useful skills. This includes running the office while manager is off, maintaining and updating personal records of employees, processing timesheets and payroll, ordering materials for various sites and a lot more. I would say, this is everyone’s individual choice. I have already mentioned above what skills I gained since starting my apprenticeship and I would not be able to learn this practice side of things in a college. In my opinion, hands on experience in working environment, where i can physically watch, learn and try new skills works better for me.

Coral Albiston, Steadline

I chose to complete an apprenticeship because I wanted to broaden my qualifications, to help me in the future. KEITS has been a very good company  to go through, as I have had much help and the staff have been really helpful. I have gained such an understanding of how an office works and for it to be efficient, plus different ways of dealing with things and coming up with solutions. My English has improved and I am able to write emails and letters in an appropriate fashion. If I was to give someone advice to whether to go to college or do an apprenticeship, I would say complete an apprenticeship as I have been able to be in  a working environment and learn skills that I woudnt of been able to learn by going to college.

Katie Smith, Littlewood Fencing

KEITS are an excellent training provider, from start to finish the support of my tutor was second to none. Gaining my award was a great achievement for me and I would definitely use KEITS again for my next course, highly recommended.

Zoe Templeton

I always feel comfortable and confident when Karen comes, I don’t feel rushed or under too much pressure which really helps with my confidence. I always learn new techniques.

Sinead Fisher, Flowers by Penny

I’m enjoying my course, learning new skills. I like the fact that my assessor comes to me.

Natalie Johnson, Flower Power

I like it because I can go at a speed that I can deal with, but still get all the help I need from my assessor, and advice, it’s good that my assessor comes out to the shop as well.

Paula Singleton, Andreas Garden Of Eden

With KEITS you get the best of both worlds, you are able to train in your chosen field and earn money whilst doing it. You get on the job experience and also support from your tutor.

Rebekah Owen, Plantation Florist

I chose to complete an apprenticeship because I prefer the practical side of the work.

Georgia Littlefield, Witcham EQ Centre

KEITS have provided brilliant training and support throughout my course.

Nicola Lawrence, Corham Stables

I chose an apprenticeship to further my education, to get hands on experience alongside my knowledge. Lauren has been very helpful, friendly and approachable. She’s always happy to answer any questions and doesn’t make you feel stupid for asking the questions. She makes the assessments feel relaxed, which means I make fewer silly mistakes as I’m not nervous! She totally understanding when things go wrong. I am gaining new skills such as how to care for horses, learning to interpret the formal rules of horsemanship into real world situations and how to learn in a practical environment. I would recommend an apprenticeship as its fun and interesting, and especially good for those who aren’t so skilled at learning in a classroom environment. It’s a great way to learn and provide you with a really good, more complete knowledge of the subject. You can see how what you are learning applies to the real world, not just the theory. It’s a great entry into the world of employment, both as a starting point and as a first experience of real work.

Anca Pascu and Reshma Giwa, Wormwood Scrubs Pony Centre

Work based learning has helped me as I have had to use my knowledge in actual circumstances. KEITS has been very organised and Lauren has been passionate about the whole process which has encouraged me to learn. It has helped me develop skills in equestrian trade. I would say to anyone considering to complete an apprenticeship DO IT!

Megan Motmans, Duckhurst Farm

KEITS provided me with such a high standard of training, giving me plenty of support, guidance and encouragement when I needed it, thanks to them I was able to achieve great results in my level 2 apprenticeship and look forward to completing my level 3! I have already recommended KEITS to a number of friends!

Sally, Sketch Studios Ltd

I would like to stress that without Emma's amazing efficiency I would have found the course so much harder. Her response to anything I ask was immediate and she gave me so much more confidence and was a pleasure to have as an assessor.

Emma Davies @ Woolpack vets

I cannot praise Sally Blackmore highly enough. She has been constantly enthusiastic, light-hearted, cheerful, energetic, knowledgeable, supportive and I feel very lucky to have had Sally as my assessor.
