Nathan, BEF Young Professional

Monday 26 November, 2018

Nathan Aston is one of the BEF young professionals and has written the following:

‘I was living in France and started riding when I was 10 years old before moving back to England. I started work for Katy Holder-Vale at Whitcham House Farm Stud which was a fantastic employer. I was asked if I would like to complete an apprenticeship with KEITS and I accepted. I finished and achieved a level 3 apprenticeship in Horse Care and Mamagement and also completed a few extra modules to strengthen my qualification.

My assessor, Emily, was amazing. She gave me lots of help and support along the way! My apprenticeship with KEITS gave me the knowledge to care and manage for stud and competition horses.

Since finishing my apprenticeship, I have worked on professional dressage yards. I also worked for the classically trained Lassatters where I won at my regional championships and competed and nationals! I now work for international dressage rider Matt Hicks where I have trained my horse to PSG level and hope to keep pushing higher in the near future!’

KEITS would like to congratulate Nathan in all his achievements and wish him the best of luck in his future career. Thank you for sharing your story!
