BFA Nominee'18

The British Florist Association is the single unifying movement at the heart of the UK’s diverse floristry industry. It represents industry interests at local and national government level and to the media.  As the only trade association in the florist industry that is recognised by Government both in the UK and EU. As the exclusive UK member of FLORINT, the European Federation of Florist Associations, the BFA is recognised as the voice of the industry representing 6,500 UK florists.

The BFA showcases the skills of the professional florist to consumers at prestigious flower shows nationwide and online through its customer-facing website.

The BFA is passionate about driving industry standards. It founded the Institute of Professional Florists in 2015 and is the sole provider of floristry skills competitions to World Skills, UK Skills and the RHS.

The BFA Industry Awards have established themselves as the place to be recognised within the Industry. The winners are announced presented with their trophies and certificates at the sparkling Industry Awards & Gala Dinner at BFA FleurEx each Autumn. Last year tickets to this event sold out in record time!

KEITS have been lucky enough to be nominated in the Floristry Training Provider of the Year category. This is open to all training providers who deliver City & guilds/ BTEC or University qualifications recognised by the Industry.

You can also vote for your favourite KEITS assessor in the Floristry Tutor of the year category. This is open to all floristry tutors (full or part time) who teach a formal qualification in floristry with accreditation recognised by industry.
