Horse Care Staff Vacancy - Bryerley Springs Equestrian Centre

Wednesday 21 March, 2018
Bryerley Springs Equestrian Centre

Due to our expanding and ever changing business, we have the opportunity for a riding instructor to join us for approx 25 hours per week - including afternoons, evenings and Saturdays!

The role within our riding school, livery yard, Pony Club and RDA Centre provides for an interesting and varied job, which requires you to have an upbeat, friendly and outgoing personality.

Whilst the role is focused on the more experienced rider and pony club children of C level and above, you must enjoy teaching clients of all ages and abilities. Our liveries, loaners and pony club members get involved in competitions at home and away, fun rides, showjumping, dressage and eventing. We also run Young Equestrians, Pony Club rallies, competition training, stable management, summer camps, yard events and Own a Pony Days for you to get involved in. You will help adults and clients build their skills and confidence in a supportive, fun and happy environment.

Although the job is primarily a teaching role, you will need to assist in all areas of the yard when necessary, day to day care of riding school horses, liaise with clients and guide other staff and volunteers.

Ideally you are a qualified coach - PTT, UKCC Level 2, BSHAI or equivalent, with good communication and organisational skills. Experience of working on a commercial yard, coaching for Pony Club or the RDA and the ability to school horses will be an advantage. Your creativity and ideas are most welcome, as is your ability to adapt and change as required by the business.

We offer a competitive salary or hourly rate for the right person.
