Animal Care Training and Assessment Consultant

This is an opportunity to join our highly successful and growing field-based animal care training and assessment team. We are looking for a dedicated and inspirational individual to use their knowledge and experience of the industry, to develop and support our learners in achieving their Apprenticeship, or work-based qualification.

The successful candidate will ideally be located in the Surrey/Hampshire area and be able to cover a range of business types within the industry.  You will visit learners in their work-based setting, delivering training in conjunction with their employer and undertaking assessment (and if appropriate Internal Quality Assurance) of learners.

You will need:

Essential:

  • Minimum Level 3 qualification in Animal Care
  • Excellent communication and people skills and to be professional and approachable
  • The ability to support learners with maths and English Functional Skills up to level 2 with the help of subject specific software
  • Competent computer skills and a willingness to learn to use an e-portfolio
  • A driving licence and willingness to travel across counties in the South East

Desirable:

  • Teaching experience in an FE or HE environment
  • A teaching qualification at L3 or above
  • TAQA L3 or equivalent and/or assessment experience
  • An understanding of work-based learning
  • GCSEs at Grade C or above in Maths, English

You will also need the self-discipline to manage your own time and workload and undertake the administration required of the post.

This post is a full-time, permanent position. You will work from your own home, but most of your time will be spent in the field visiting your learners and therefore applicants will need to be located within the stated South East England geographical area, we have given Guildford purely as a guide.

Salary £22,000 - £26,000 depending on qualifications and experience, plus travel expenses and pension scheme.

Trainer/Assessor in Leadership and Management (Home Based)

KEITS is one of the country's premier private training providers specializing in Apprenticeship. and Diploma provision. An exciting opportunity has risen for dedicated and inspiring individual who can use their knowledge and experience to develop and support learners to achieve their goals.

The successful candidate will deliver innovative training and assessment, using a blended learning methodology to learners undertaking Leadership and Management qualifications from Level 3 to Level 5. They will also need to be able to build effective working relationships with employers, learners and other stakeholders across a range of industries, as well as have the skills to inspire and motivate learners.

You will visit learners in their work-based setting to deliver training in conjunction with their employer and if appropriate, undertake quality assurance of the learner experience.

Applicants from Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire would be ideally placed for this role.

You will need:

Essential:

  • Minimum Level 5 Leadership and Management Qualification
  • Minimum 3 yrs. experience in a management role
  • Willingness and ability to support learners with maths and English to Functional Skills Level 2
  • Ability to travel across counties to client premises
  • Interest in working with and supporting apprentices
  • Either D23/33, A1, TAQA Level 3, PTLLs or higher teaching qualification
  • Competent computer skills and willingness to learn new systems
  • Excellent communication and people skills, professional and approachable

Desirable

  • Qualification and experience in Project Management
  • Understanding of work based learning or FE teaching experience
  • D34, A2, TAQA L4

Excellent organisational, administrative and time management skills are imperative to successfully manage your own caseload of learners, together with a flexible and adaptable approach and a high level of initiative.

Ideally, you will have good IT skills to support the blended delivery model and assist learners in using an e-portfolio and maths and English development software.

This role is a full time, permanent, field and home based, so you will need to be able to travel across counties to various client premises. You must also have the self-discipline to manage your own time, workload and undertake the administration required by the post.

Salary £25,000 - £30,000 depending on qualifications and experience, plus travel expenses and a pension scheme
