The City and Guilds 6502 Award in Education and Training is a recognised qualification for those who want to pursue a role in a range of educational settings and has been designed as an introduction for candidates who work, or want to work, as teachers/trainers in the further education and skills sector.
The aims of this programme are:
- to provide an introduction to the principles, theories and practice of teaching and training
- to enable learners to reflect on and develop their personal skills and teaching experiences
- to provide an introduction to the professional role of the teacher/trainer
The course comprises of four days training, in which you will explore a range of teaching and training techniques. This is not an online program of study and, therefore enables you to have valuable face to face interaction and support with your tutor and peers.

There is the possibility of funding for learners aged 19-23 depending on employment status and experience.
